How do I sell?

Signing up to sell is simple and free. Start by clicking 'Sell' in the menu at the top of the page. This will take you to the selling portal. Find the 'Create An Account' button and start creating your account!

You will need three main things to certify your account after you have created your store:

How do I get paid?

In order to get paid, you need a PayPal account. It can be a Personal or Business account.

Payout's are sent by PayPal the Wednesday after you have fulfilled the shipment in the seller dashboard. Payments are sent after proof of shipment in order to reduce complications with transactions.

*With local pickup, payment is sent after the buyer and seller confirm the exchange.

Example payout: On Friday Mellisa sells a fin and ships it out Saturday morning. They update the tracking info in their sellers dashboard to prove they have fulfilled the order and on the Wednesday of the following week, Surf Exchange sends the payment.

How is Surf Exchange curated?

All items that are available for purchase on the marketplace are curated by us. When submitting an item for sale, it does not directly go live but is sent to us to look over and inspect. We vet every aspect of the listing from images and titles to condition and shipping costs. We use our discretion when looking at all aspects of the submission and reserve up to 7 days for review. It usually takes less.

If an item doesn't fit within our types of goods, it is likely we will not accept it.

Our rates differ per category of goods: Used Goods, Small Business, and New-Old-Stock. Check our current rates are here.

Shipping

We use Flat-Rate shipping site-wide. We know shipping can be complicated, so we like to keep it simple for everyone.

Returns

We do not offer returns in the Used Goods category. Sellers in the Small Business and New-old-stock categories do offer returns. Don't worry, you are always covered by our 100% Money Back Guarantee.
